Sharing internet connection from windows xp to my kubuntu box

It seems like the internet connection sharing works , but the internet speed on my kubuntu box is very slow.

I use windows xp sp2 , adsl connection with alcatel speed touch usb modem , firewall zone alarm pro .

After a reboot everything works fine .

Could you maybe describe how you set up this shared connection ? I have exactly the same setup, but couldn't get it to work...
