how to connect to internet using ADSL

I am a new user to Kubuntu 6.06 (and Open Source). My problem is I don't know how to connect to Internet using ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) connection. I use AT-AR210 ADSL USB Modem to connect. How do I setup the Internet connection?

If you're ISP is using PPPoE (Peer to Peer Protocol over Ethernet) and you just need to supply the username and password your ISP provided you with, then just enter this command in Konsole:

    Code:
    sudo pppoeconf
It will ask you some options for some settings. If you don't know the answers, you can safely accept the defaults. Some questions you might want to take note of would be about your username and password (the one from the ISP), whether you like to connect on boot, and whether you want to connect now.

On the other hand, if your ISP is using DHCP, the installer should have already detected it.
