    weak signal

    Hello everyone,
I have my dell inspiron b130 set up so that I can boot to either windows(just until I get more comfortable and get everything working with kubuntu) or kubuntu. When I run windows, I am able to pick up a weak wireless signal and connect to it, however, when I try and connect to the same connection in kubuntu it won't connect to it. I am able to connect to strong signals in both operating systems. Is there something I can do so that I am able to connect to the weaker signals? I should also mention that I am a complete newbie(2 days) so I am not technical at all(sorry). Once I get it to work I am hoping to just use it as my only operating system.
    Thanks!

    Re: weak signal

    1. You could try moving your pc closer to your access point.
    2. Get rid of as many obstructions as possible: curtains, boxes, furniture, etc. Make sure you have a clear path to your access point.
    3. Otherwise you may have to buy some hardware that will boost the signal.
