hd wont partition

Hey, it says I have a bad superblock whenever I try to resize my harddrive, weather i try manually or with the auto configuration. This is wierd because windows runs fine and the laptopt is straight from the manufacturer. I've tried using fdisk manually with a gentoo live cd with no luck and also tried 5.10 and debian etch. Nothing will resize this harddrive and I can't wipe it clean...

have you done a disk cleanup, defrag, and check disk while booted in windows? Is this an ntfs or fat32? after doing this try a few different partitioning tools. gparted has a great live cd with many great tools. small iso also.
