Last night, I updated the xorg Core packages on my AMD64 desktop. This morning when I booted my desktop, the boot up process would freeze after booting up all the services. I never got the kdm login splash nor access to a terminal window. Any suggestions?

Re: Problems after xorg Core Upgrade
For quick reference, this would downgrade your xserver-xorg-core to the last working version:
Code:sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-core=1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10

Re: Problems after xorg Core Upgrade
For those upgrading to the new xserver-xorg-core, make sure that the version you will be upgrading to is 1.0.2-0ubuntu10.4 (take note of the last number). If they are not yet available, please wait for the servers/mirrors to update.
