During a fresh install of Kubuntu 6.06, I chose the English language and the Dvorak keyboard layout. After the install finished, I logged into my fresh system via kdm. kdm used the Dvorak keyboard layout to enter the username and password.
However, after KDE appeared the Dvorak layout changed to English US layout, as verified in Konsole. When I went to Settings->Regional & Accessibility->Keyboard Layout, the Dvorak (dv) layout was not listed.
How can I re-enable the Dvorak layout? I've grown accustomed to it and QWERTY is now slow and troublesome to use.
Ideas, hints, and other information are quite welcome!
Thanks,
Bob
