Hey, I am installing Kubuntu today, hopefully, and am with Wanadoo.

I am following the WIKI, should I use Linux for programming, etc? BUT I WANT KOLF
and Windows for the internet?

When it asks for my Hostname.. I have no idea what to put.. is it WANADOO-6803 like when I search for connections through my PSP that comes up, is that it? please help, kris

In konsole:
hostname -a

more:
man hostname

"hostname - show or set the system’s host name

options:
-a, --alias
Display the alias name of the host (if used)"

I'm using also wanadoo, not by the livebox but by a personal router...
What is exactly your trouble ?
By hostname, linux installer means what is the name of your computer
BTW, if you want to go on in french, open a thread in french section, I will try to help as far as I can
