Problems With Wireless Card Connecting To 127.0.0.1

I've posted this item in the software section without any luck (so far) so I'm hoping you hardware blokes can help me

My machine was connected via a D-Link DI-514 router, and although this is a wireless router, I was connected with a wired connection.  I used Privoxy for web content filtering and Popfile for email classification.  Both proxies were running on 127.0.0.1

However, when I added a wireless card to my PC, I found I could not connect via 127.0.0.1 or localhost. Remove proxies from my web browser and connection was made.  I could not connect with my ISPs email server either, until I connected directly and not through Popfile.

My wife's Windows machine is on the LAN and through a wired connection.  She uses Privoxy and Popfile as well, and connects through them.  Its definitely something to do with my wireless card, which is a Gigabyte GN-WPKG 802.11 b/g card.

Does anyone know the cure for this, since I do not want to be without web filtering or email classification facilities.

    Thanks in advance

Working...
