installed nvidia-glx, now stuck in 640x480

    Hello everyone.

Just installed a fresh install of the latest version on Kubuntu.
I have an Nvidia Gforce 7800GS and I therefore installed the nvidia-glx drivers, and ran nvidia-xconfig.
After reboot It briefly shows the Nvidia logo, and presents the login screen, already here I can see the resolution is low.
I login and Kubuntu starts up in 640x480.

I tried to go to System Settings->Display, there it tells that I'm running 640x480@60hz, in the hardware tab, it tells I'm using the nvidia driver.
But I'm unable to change the resolution.

    Anyone have an idea?

    Regards.
    Brian

    Hi Brian
Have you checked your settings in /etc/X11/xorg.conf for the monitor horizontal/vertical frequencies?

      I found the problem.
After installing the NVIDIA drivers the Monitor was detected as a Plug and Play monitor, but apparently it could not figure out the monitors capabilities.
Changed it to static, 1600x1200@75hz monitor, Solved the issue.

      Thanks.
      Brian.
