Just wondering, how come my system does not display the grub menu during boot? Maybe the default timeout is too short?

It normally is supposed to, unless there is only one OS, but if it is not showing, try holding the shift key just after the power-on splash/POST screen. Or repeatedly stabbing it.
Then of course check and change the timeout setting as described above.

Yes, I only have one OS, I purged my system of windoze the day I booted into it, and it permanently trashed my HD, to the point I had to buy a new one. I can get by with Vbox for windoze apps.Linux since 2008, Kubuntu 20.10
