[SOLVED] Firefox 70 and Youtube freezes Plasma

I know I already posted something about this. It did get better for a while. But now just opening FF 70 kicks in my fan (clean) and it never turns off until I close FF. This is compounded when I watch youtube. I have to use vivaldi but want to stick with FF 70.

    Suggestions?

Use about:config and investigate what the FF70 setting for "network.http" and "connection" are set for. I was noticing that FF70 generated at one point 73 threads listed in Ksysguard.

if firefox is causing that much of a problem , I would just export my bookmarks to a file https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...up-or-transfer

then remove/uninstall firefox and delete it's hidden file in your home folder
            /home/vinny/.mozilla/
then reinstall see if it's better and if it is import the bookmark file .

yes you could possibly track down the problem and find a fix but I think this might be a faster solution .

Thank you for that. It turns out that is exactly what I had to do. A pain, but it is behaving for now. Thanks again.

If you have a Firefox account, there is no need to back up your bookmarks(not that that's a bad idea anyway). Just log back in once installed and your bookmarks and setup should be there.
