    I just installed Google Chrome last night does the .deb file come with the PPA?

    It does not have a PPA (which are specific to Ubuntu) , but when you install the Chrome deb file it adds its repo info to your sources.

      EDIT: Nevermind, just saw claydoh's response. Follow that advice instead.

                Yes it should come with a package archive from which updates will be provided.

                Last time I checked there was a GPG key problem which you should ignore. I haven't checked if Google finally fixed this issue.
