I have close to the same problem, but my model is AWUS036ACH. The Linux file comes as a .tar package, which I have extracted, but there is no readme file or anything else that I can find to tell me what to do next. When I run inxi -n, I get the following:
Card-1: Intel Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V driver: e1000e
IF: enp0s31f6 state: up speed: 1000 Mbps duplex: full mac: 1c:1b:0d:6c:44:b6
Card-2: Realtek RTL8812AU 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN Adapter
IF: null-if-id state: N/A mac: N/A
I think that shows that the driver is not yet installed but that Kubuntu does detect the card. Here is the ls -a listing for the directory where the extracted files are:
. .. clean core hal ifcfg-wlan0 include Kconfig Makefile os_dep platform runwpa wlan0dhcp
What should my next steps be, please? Many thanks.
