I have a new install of US 18.04. I have 5.4TB of RAID5 storage using the BTRFS.
To prepare setting up OpenVPN, I've backed up some important configuration files to a thumb drive and I've studied 4 or 5 online OVPN guides. IMO they all lack a complete explanation, but together, they fill in the blanks and cover the subject well. All the guides explain how to setup ufw with port forwarding. Is this the best way to go or should my router handle that task? Which is better, or easier to do?
My goal is to access the server securely from my Kubuntu laptop when I'm away from home and from my android cell phone. Please advise.
