Hey guys, I just installed Kubuntu on my main computer, and now I had the problem that the default network manager behaves unexpectedly.
At first, I connected to my Network ("NetworkName"), then for an eternity, nothing happened. Suddenly, there were "clones" of my network, named NetworkName 1; 2; 3 etc.
Then I managed to connect to my real network, but downloads in Steam used only 1/10 of the speed, everything concerning internet was generally very slow and it even disconnected me from my network a few times and took forever to reconnect.
I have since removed network-manager and installed WICD, which works great and gives me full speed and stability, but I'm curious as to why the default network manager behaves so badly. Does anyone here have an idea how to fix this, I quite liked the tray menu it provided
