Since upgrading from 16.10, I can't get my laptop to shut down normally. It shows 5 stop jobs that just keep alternating and never stop. I have to use REISUO to shut down. The stop job text flashes through really fast but I eventually caught the words Nvidia persistence daemon, make remote cups, packagekit daemon, session # of user, crash report submission daemon.
ETA: Discover said I had updates today, and surprisingly, it actually managed to successfully apply them, which never happened with 16.10. I had given up using it. Anyway, after the updates, I rebooted and for the first time since I upgraded a couple weeks ago, it actually shut down and rebooted correctly. Thinking it must be a fluke, I tried again and it worked again, so maybe it's fixed now. I will leave this up a day or two to be sure.
