    I want my Ethernet back

    Here is some info. Can anyone make sense of this. I just updated and rebooted.

    It's ifconfig not ipconfig.

      Seems your missing the driver for the ethernet device.

        ipconfig is a different program. If you read all of it you would see that I installed and ran it.

            Still trying to get this working. The gateway seems to see it -lights-, but it looks like the driver isn't working correctly. It's loaded according to dmesg. dmesg says it takes a while for enp3s0 (ethernets pci name-, to come up. Maybe the configuration is bad.
            Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.
