    Updates are Available

    There is a quirk with the updates icon in the system tray. It does its duty whenever the user updates the file list or at its own instigation. However, the icon used to disappear when the updates had been installed by muon-updater. Now, it stays visible in the system tray until a reboot.

    Its not a show-stopper, but can waste time if one forgets that the upgrades have already been completed.

    My system update gets stuck near the end so I just run
    Code:
    apt update && apt-upgrade && apt-dist-upgrade && reboot

      no, the update icon is borked is all, and has nothing to do with any success or failure of the update itself.

        Yeah, I have the update icon all the time and my system is up to date.

          I just run update and reboot once a week anyway. have to reboot occasionally anyway. Diablo 3 just plays better in windows, so I have a small win7 install. Gotta be distracted now and then.

          one more nut won't make much difference
