sign off has problems with Netbeans IDE 8.0.2
If netbeans is running when I logout, the system stops responding. It leaves nb standing and
the system hangs. Pressing the hardware reboot gets you back to the original frozen state.
Alt+SysRQ+k -> Alt+SysRQ+e and the system shuts down correctly. The system will
then boot properly.
Another, perhaps related problem, In the morning when the system has been off all night,
the system often fails to boot. It starts but hangs somewhere doing nothing. That button on the front
usually works after that - but really!??
