Python bits missing!

I've been trying to (re-)install poptray-minus. This is the only mail checker I can find that queries the server - others let it all into the mbox files and report these changes, by which time anything nasty is already in place to do its dirty work... It workes beautifully on 12.04, but Kubi15.04 is MISSING python-central. The other requirement is python-qt4 which is there. Will both of these be present in 15.10? or can someone sneak a compatible python-central into the repository somewhere (backport?)?

If I am looking at the right files , this program has not been updated in well over 5 years. Python and particularly Qt have moved on. The python-qt4 version available might be incompatible with this old program as well. You might be able to install the python-central package from 12.04, it does not seem to have any dependency issues in 15.04, but whether or not it works I could not say.

It is highly unlikely python-central will be added back into future versions, it hasn't been updated in Debian since 2011.

Probably the right files - pity, as noted I haven't found an equivalent, and it has to be one of the most useful utilities I use/d (the other being RSS )
