plasma 5 icons problem

I did an upgrade form 14:10 to 15:04. I have problems with icons: In my case, some icons are simply - blank. Icons are not shown in Application Menu and panel. But, at the same time, if i put an shortcut to the desktop, icon is there! Applications that don't have icons have them in "other" but i think the problem is that icon is not in .svg but in .png format I think most of applications with icon problems are GTK applications.

how to solve this problem with icons?


I also instaled KDE 5.3.1 from http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu
but situation with icons is same as before.

Are you sure you selected a workable theme for GTK icons?

System settings / type gtk in the search bar and follow the link.

gtk2 icon theme: orion
gtk3 icon theme: orion

icon theme: breeze
fallback theme: hicolor

i tried lots of variations of icon themes, clearing kde cache & reboot every time i set new icon theme, nothing worked
