Hello!
I know this issue is a long standing problem for some users, and I wanted to see if someone had found a solution concerning calibrating monitor color profiles, without a colorimeter.
In OS X, there is a tool that allows the user to calibrate the monitor using on screen sliders and reference images, and the tool creates an .ICC profile that is immediately installed. I am wondering if someone had knowledge of the existance of something of the sort for Linux.
My issue right now is not so much color as gamma curve... I can set the gamma, but I cannot adjust the curve... so my darks and mediums are properly showing up on screen, but all the lighter colors are fading to white. If I adjust my gamma so as to set the light colors right, then everything else is too dark.
A solution would be appreciated for this issue, if someone could help me out!
My hardware :
ASUS P8H61-I R2.0 motherboard, with onboard graphics
Acer X193w LCD panel, VGA connected.
Thanks
