    Cant enter passphrase after install

I installed Kubuntu 13.10 in encrypted LVM (150 GB, HDDD). After install is done I can not enter the passphrase in the rectangle to the purpose.
When I install the LVM without encryption, requesting encryptyon of the /home partition, everything goes perfect. Mouse not being recognized also. Any opion would be appreciatd. Thanks

What happens if you install to regular partitions (rather than LVM) while still choosing to encrypt /home? Does this work?

Yes. Perfectly. Also perfectly in LVM without encryption. Thanks.

Ugh, it looks like Ubiquity can't do encrypted LVM without some convoluted prep work: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/En...emsViaUbiquity

Sorry, I did not mention that I install KDE. Does it matter?

Kubuntu is Ubuntu -- the difference is that Kubuntu comes with the KDE desktop, while Ubuntu comes with the Unity desktop. Underneath the desktop, the two are the same. Both use the Ubiquity installer. So the steps on that Ubuntu wiki page also apply to Kubuntu.

How long could it take to encrypt or prepare for encryption an HDD of 150GB? Thanks.

I don't know, as I don't use LVM nor do I encrypt any volumes.
