    Anyone experiencing this problem?
    I filled a bug report here:

    Have you checked System Settings > Application and System Notifications > Applications > KDE Workspace to see if Play a sound is checked and a sound file is listed for each of the events you want to hear sound for?
    Windows no longer obstructs my view.
    Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

      Hi Snowhog, thanks for replying, The sounds DO work fine, however the "events" are not shown, look at this attached screenshot from 4.10 and compare with the one posted in the launchpad bug report

        Martin Gräßlin | 23 Apr 2013 16:24

        Git commit d65334da3fb770bbcffea293d75e99130e12b0a8 by Martin Gräßlin.
        Committed on 21/04/2013 at 13:31.
        Pushed by graesslin into branch 'master'.

        Remove KWin::Notifications

        Overall all notifications except compositing suspended by DBus were
        configured by default to not have any action. This means all the time we
        emit a notification we keep DBus and KDED busy for nothing.

        All the cases when a notification is triggered ire also exported to
        KWin scripting, so if one really needs to handle something in case a
        window is moved, it could be done through a KWin script with much more
        context about the event...
        This is fixing the KDE bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258097
