    [project neon] after fresh install [saucy] doesnt want to save my desktop preferences

    hello!

    after fresh install a few months ago up till now - the project neon does not want to save my desktop preferences. I tried to put both folders /home/myname/.kde/... and /home/myname/.project-neon-kde/... as non-root (folders, subfolders, files, everything) but it didnt solve the issue. I did the same with /opt/project-neon/... and also no success.

    i also tried the

    kquitapp plasma-desktop && rm -rf $KDEHOME/share/config/plasm* && plasma-desktop &

    also no success...

    In bugs for kde they kindly advised me, i try to search for help here on kubuntu forums.

    i know also that maybe the plasmarc file contains some information - or maybe has some problem,...but the problem is i dont know which one is used by project neon - also i dont know what is the configuration relationship between KDE normal kuubntu and project neon which is installed next to it.

    I suspect that maybe after fresh install i installed project-neon-all and project-neon-all-dbg as root (as in sudo -i and then password and then with aptitude sudo aptitude install) --- maybe i should install it as normal user with sudo --- because i see that beeing root and beeing normal user and using sudo means (and does) two different things... for example some programs do not want to be started in root, but if as a user i type sudo "program name" the program starts normally (from console)...

    anyway, my original problem:

    The things that are NOT saved: desktop background settings (grid desktop) wallpaper settings (slideshow, every 7min changing) aynthing about widgets that are placed on the desktop (after reboot the desktop is empty, back to deafult desktop, default image, no widgets present)

    Things that are saved: settings of default panel and/or any other extra added panel (including widgets, icons, preferences of task manager, system tray, clock, calendar...) please help! ps.i use saucy development kubuntu...
    please help.-...

    and thank you ....very much

    nice day
