yaWP configuration and display issue in raring

Is anyone using yaWP in raring? I'm stuck at the forcast details and can't switch to the 4 day outlook. I have yaWP in precise and quantal working without issues.

My settings for yaWP are the same for precise, quantal, and raring. Both quantal and raring are VirtualBox guests, and precise is the host.

My KDE desktop settings are the same for precise, quantal, and raring. I have not changed from the default.

precise KDE version = 4.8.5 : yaWP version installed from repos = 0.4.1-1
quantal KDE version = 4.9.5 : yaWP version installed from repos = 0.4.2-1
raring KDE version = 4.10.3 : yaWP version installed from repos = 0.4.2-1

Here is a screen shot from raring. Notice the High and Low for the day are missing in along with the icons to switch from forecast details to the 4 day outlook.

Here is a screen shot from quantal. The High and Low for the day are displayed here along with the icons to switch from forecast details to the 4 day outlook.

Here is a screen shot of my yaWP settings.

I've googled and searched this forum without any luck.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue with yaWP in raring? If so, how was it resolved?

Hi lifeOriley. I have YAWP installed on my desktop on Raring and I'll provide screenshots of my settings. The widget works great for me. My settings may be slightly different than yours, but probably not by much. I have the same version of YAWP, 4.2-01.

Hi notabug, I compared your yaWP settings screen shots to my settings and see they are indeed similar. The widget works great for me in precise and quantal, but there is one difference. It looks like you have an icon for a satalite map in the upper left. I don't have that in precise or quantal where the widget appears to work correctly. I'm wonder what I'm missing here and if this is related to my issue in raring.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling plasma-widget-yawp after I installed plasma-scriptengine-superkaramba and get the same result. The low and high for the day are still missing along with the icons in the upper left.

I wish I knew more that might help you. I do very little customization on every installation of Kubuntu and I leave my desktop set at default except for the wallpapers. I haven't tried to use superkaramba for several years. One suggestion I have, only because neither of us are showing the location settings, you might want to check which data source you have selected. For me, accuweather is the only one which will give up-to-date information. One or two other claim to find my city, but will not update and don't show the icons and data you are missing. I'm not a professional IT person, so I just have to fumble through these things myself. I checked at KDE Community Forums, but didn't find any helpful information there.

notabug, I was using noaa. Switching to accuweather solved my issue. Now yaWP displays the icons in the upper left like your screen shot. I also show the satelite map now.

I'm glad I posted the question. I felt like I was going in circles.

          This really helped.

          Thanks,

I'm happy that with my very low level of expertise I was able to help.
