I haven't had any luck getting any of the Raring discs to boot on my machine when I have my Hauppauge PVR-150 installed. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the kernel of the ivtv drivers or something else, but I noticed that the Cinnarch distro (using a 3.7.? kernel) has the same problem for me. Kubuntu 12.10 works fine though. I've attached a picture I took with my phone of the screen I get when I try to boot from the live disc. I don't have a very good camera on my phone, but maybe it'll still be useful.
Not sure if this is necessary, but here's some of my other hardware;
ASUS M4A785-M motherboard
Using the build in ATI/AMD for video out
AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor
6gigs of ddr2 memory
The only addon hardware I'm using is the Hauppauge card. I tried doing an upgrade from Quantal to Raring and the only way to boot was to choose the older 3.5.0-23-generic kernel. I've only tried the 64 bit versions by the way. May try the 32 bit if you guys think it might help.
