    Desktop Icons Stopped Responding

Not really sure if it was something I did or a bug, but after a day or two of running 13.04, the desktop icons stopped responding to clicks. I can still open applications from the launcher, but if I slide them onto the desktop they stop responding. When I click on them I get nothing. They do respond to right clicks. I didn't change any settings prior to this occurance that I'm aware of. Just the second or third time I started up, the icons wouldn't respond.

It is something to do with how KDE 4.10 uses the desktop, try right clicking on an empty space on the desktop and click "lock widgets"......apparently they only function if they're locked, if unlocked the system thinks you just want to move them around or resize or edit

      Reyfer,

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. A couple of days after I posted this I went on a vacation to the land of dial-up and didn't go online while I was there. Just got back yesterday, and the first thing I did was reinstall 12.10. I should have checked my email first. Anyway, you gave a good suggestion, and I'll remember to try it out when I upgrade to Ringtail again.

      Thanks for your response,
      capt-zero
