    Jedit keeping keyboard

When I boot Kubuntu, Jedit is one of the applications that boot automatically with KDE. But there is a problem with that on one of my computers. One computer is a laptop and the other is a desktop. The desktop is my main computer. Both are running Kubuntu 12.04 and the same apps. and I keep both updated as updates come out.

On the both computers, when KDE boots, Jedit boots last. The problem occurs, if I want to use an app other than Jedit immediately. Jedit seems to have captured the keyboard, so that when I start typing in the other app, nothing shows. Finally I remember to switch to Jedit on another desktop, move the cursor (either with the mouse or the keyboard), essentially doing nothing. Then when I switch back to the other app it has the keyboard and mouse and everyting is okey.

This only occurs when I boot.

As I said this only occurs on the desktop and not the laptop.

My inclination is that this is probably a KDE problem and not a Jedit problem. I have gone through the Jedit window and app settings and can see nothing about capturing focus.

Is there a setting that I am missing that I have to change to correct this behavior
