    Flash Broken After updates....

I noticed that my flash player is busted. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash but it is still busted. Any ideas what to do?

I had the same problem. I think the flashplugin installer update is to blame. Here is what fixed in for me:

    Use Muon to remove flashplugin-installer
    Enable the partner repositories
    sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin
    sudo apt-get install adobe-flash-properties-kde

I now have the final version of Flash for Linux (64-bit).

Does this method also work on 32 Bit Kubuntu 12.10?

The relevant i386 packages appear in the partner repository. However, this repository isn't yet enabled for Quantal. You can work around this by changing your /etc/apt/sources.list thusly:

          Code:
          ## This software is not part of Ubuntu, but is offered by Canonical and the
          ## respective vendors as a service to Ubuntu users.
          # deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu quantal partner
          # deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu quantal partner
          deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu precise partner
          deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu precise partner
Comment the "quantal" lines and add "precise" lines. The Flash packages for Precise run fine on Quantal.

i enabled partner repositories and installed flash (in kubuntu12.04). But rekonq still notifies me to install extra packages (flash) even when flash is working in it. Is it normal??

              "Is it normal??"

Yes. Is it supposed to do that? No. It is a known bug that has not yet been fixed/pushed out to the public.

I think you can disable this notification. I'm flying from memory here, as I'm not on my Kubuntu laptop at the moment.

                1. Open System Settings | Application and System Notifications
                2. Go to the Helper Notifications page
                3. Deselect Show restricted codec availability notifications

Can anyone here confirm whether this actually works?
