    MyEnTunnel amd gSTM Alternative?

    http://alternativeto.net/software/my...platform=linux
It is a small application that sits in your system tray. With in the GUI you simply set up your user name, password, Private key(optional), and a port for your server. It then sits in the system tray always connected to your server. Combined with Quick Proxy add on for Firefox, I could turn my SOCKS proxy connection on and off in a second with a single click. I found gSTM works, but it does not save your password, and I am not sure it automatically reconnects. Can any one recommend an alternative?

Something that sits in the system tray only; connected to an ssh server and can automatically re-authenticate, yes.

This? I tried the install button but it wasn't showing up. Turns out the download link is dead, fortunately the github links at the top of the page still work. I grabbed the zip file from github expecting to compile, but it looks to be in the proper format already:
          vgevorgyan-easy-ssh-connect-fb48fdd
          -contents
          -images
          -config
          metadata.desktop(in root of vgevorgyan-easy-ssh-connect-fb48fdd)
So I extracted it to /home/xplorer4x4/.kde/share/apps/plasma/plasmoids/vgevorgyan-easy-ssh-connect-fb48fdd but it still did not show up in the widgets menu. I dug in to the metadata.desktop file and I see "X-KDE-PluginInfo-Name=easy-ssh-connection" so I renamed the folder to easy-ssh-connection, still did not show up. So I logged out and I logged back in. Still will not show up. So I am guessing it is out dated.
