First, I apologize for my poor english. I'm using babelfish to translate from portuguese to english.
I'm using kubuntu 11.10 and I intend to upgrade to version 12.04.
My video card is a onboard NVIDIA GeForce 7025/nforce 630a and after update nvidia driver to 295.40 version kde freezes when loading, making graphical desktop environment unusable on Arch Linux. The same happened on Sabayon 8.
A search on google demonstrates that this is truth on other distributions and desktop enviroments.
Actually, nvidia module on my system is 173, but jockey recomendation is nvidia current. So, on upgrading to kubuntu 12.04, nvidia driver will be automatically updated to current? Must before revert driver to nouveau?
