Prior to the upgrade to 12.04 I had been printing to a Konica Minolta 363 Bizhub over the net. After the upgrade the printer profiles I had setup myself were removed so I had redo the connection settings. However now I get one of two possible error messages when trying to print, either "printer has no toner" or " printer: "printer" may not be connected", both of which aren't true since others in my office have no trouble printing to it. Even a few that are still using 11.10 with identical settings to mine.

Here's the procedure:
- Go to Control Panel > Printers
- Click on "Add a printer" in title bar
- Click on "Add a local printer"
- Select "Create a new port"
- With "Local Port" selected, click on "Next"
- Fill "Enter a port name" with:
- \\desktopname\printersharename
(in my case \\arts_vaio\printer5)")
- Click on "Next" and finish
This worked for me, but, just for the experience
I might try installing a Vista driver in my Vista machine.

John
