I am attempting to get a Franklin U600 (wimax) modem to work on 12.04. The modem is detected and switched but nothing else happens.
Now NM network manager has the button for mobile broadband all grayed out. It used to be available. I am running the latest version.
Even when I use my other broadband modem (U760) the tab for mobile broadband is not available - nor is the connection.
Does anyone know how to get around this problem? What other network managers are available? I know wicd does not work on broadband.
