Is there any serious reason upgrade from kernel 3.2 to kernel 3.5, which is current kernel at Kubuntu 12.04.2, with exception of better HW compatibility?
On LTS Harware Enablement Stack is recomanded the following upgrade command:
Is this safe way, in the case of active proprietary NVDIA driver 304.88? Is there any simple way how to revert this upgrade back? See here, for more info.
Edit: kernel upgrade is without any problems, but the X-server upgrade is completely impossible, due to the big number of dependency issues .
So, is there any safe and reliable method how to upgrade from 12.04 to 12.04.2? Especially X server! I expect better support in case of LTS distribution!!!
