Audio levels help

Hi,
( not sure if this should be in software support)

I have noticed that my Linux ( Kubuntu ) audio level are always lower than in windows, like if i turn Windows vol up to max its way louder than kubuntu up to max - if there anyway to fix this, here is a snap shot of my alsamixer

hello,

firstly, in all my previous experience there was also Front channel in Alsamixer which had influence on loudness, although the sound was always stereo. i don't understand why your Alsamixer doesn't have settings for multichannel audio.

secondly, try pavucontrol to adjust volume in PulseAudio.
