Window title bars are shown incorrectly

Did a fresh install of 11.10 yesterday and found out a problem with window title bars. With OpenGL rendering all the title bars seem to be scaled incorrectly (ie. the window title font is about twice as wide as it should be) and a bit offset of the upper left corner (maybe 20 px?) so it peeks as much out from the right side of the window where it gets cut, leaving the title bar look like it was cut in the middle and should have been twice as wide (the scaling issue).

I could fix this by choosing XRendering instead but I was just wondering if there's another way which would allow me to use OpenGL as well.

Oh, and I'm using an old IBM laptop which has been running previous versions of Kubuntu without problems...

Is the problem something like this?

I had the exact same problem, but discovered it could be fixed by setting KWin to native mode.

Instructions on how to do that can be found here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284291
