Getting back lost themes after Kubuntu system updates removes them

When I first got Kubuntu, I got Kubutnu 9.10. It had a beautiful set of icons in what is now the system tray (this was one version before the system tray.) Then when version 10.04 came out they removed those beautiful icons and replaced it with ugly white icons. Also, in the recent update to version 11.04, I lost what I think was my desktop plasma theme. It was in a package of extra desktop themes. In it, the plasma panels were blue. How can I get these back while keeping the new versions of Kubuntu?

I did, but it doesn't fix the network icon though.
