    kpowersave's son

    Hi all,
up to maverick I used kpowersave to monitor milliWatt consume of laptop and processors power. In natty this program doesn't work so I think to replace it with another program but...what do you suggest like alternative??
The default battery monitor is a little useless from this point of view

    Thank you for any answer

    kpowersave is long OBE.

You need to use powermgmt-base and powertop.

Sorry -- I should not use American slang on this forum. OBE = Overtaken By Events. It means "deprecated" in linux-speak.

          What is OBE?
OBE is "Overcome By Events" or "Out of Body Experience" or "Order of the British Empire"
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

No problem, the problem is just my english :P So, if kpowersave is deprecated, there is an application for kubuntu 11.04 or in general kde 4.6 that is similar to kpowersave about consumes and speed processor?

or "Order of the British Empire"
I supposed that it was the real meaning

PS: I read now that the forum's clock says about 5 'o clock...do u know what time is it by me? a quarter to one 'o clock (a.m.) :O wow

              SOLUTION:
to discover tha actual laptop's consume just run
              Code:
              sudo powertop
              .
It show the acual consume of laptops in Watt
