My Acer Aspire 5972g laptop comes with an Ati 6370 card. I installed the fglrx driver to get better 3d performance (the radeon driver has some tearing issues). Image was good, but when screen powersave kicks in, the system freezes, as in, screen stays black and there's no way to get it back. Removing the Catalyst driver resolves the issue.
