Hello,
I'm trying to fix my wifi issues and I'm pretty sure the problem is the broadcom driver. I've removed network manager and put in wicd but that didn't help. Followed instructions here:
Removed network manager and added wicd:
http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3114190.0
Here is what I have:
lspci | grep Network
12:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01)
When I activate the 11.04 drivers all of my wireless disappears. I disable, the wireless signals are back. The problem is that when I use whatever driver is default on 11.04, it disagress with something that it causes my browsers to crash. Anyway, I think the issue is I just need to put in the latest and greatest broadcom driver but it's a little confusing how to do it.
I'm pretty sure I just follow these directions but they are a little confusing to me. Could someone dumb it down a little fore me?
http://www.broadcom.com/docs/linux_sta/README.txt
Or at least let me know if I'm on the right track?
Thank you!
