SOLVED:
It is just Gnumeric. for some reason it prints slow.
Hi
I just discovered the pleasures of the Gnome spreadsheet: Gnumeric.
It has all sorts of untold virtues and also now exports to the .doc format.
HOWEVER....it just takes a long time for the spreadsheet to start printing. That is, after I send it, I wait and wait, and wait. and it does then indeed print very well and quickly.
But, OO and LO do not take this long a time to download the file to the printer.
On the setup I saw that CUPS had a "buffer" of 3000, which I had never seen before.
Is there some kind of interaction between Gnumeric and the buffer that causes this slow download, and would it be "safe" to change the number in there. it is almost at the "end" of setting up the driver for an HP Laserjet 6P, next to last screen CUPs driver.
thanks ahead of time.
