Most of the applets in System Settings kill KDE when I try them. I realized that I can start some of them with the Alt-F2 little thingie - so I guess that means the applets themselves are OK - but something's wrong with KMenu / System Settings ? So, for instance, to stop compositing, I can't use System Settings menu, I have to find the name of the applet by opening system settings (Desktop Effects) then do Alt-F2 and type in Desktop Effects - but shouldn't this work directly from System Settings?

System Settings / KMenu bug?
