LO 3.3.2, Build 202... The installation replaced OpenOffice, but there's nothing like "Printer Administration" that provided a way to install additional fonts. Anyone know how to do this in LO?
EDIT: (Thanks, woodsmoke!) From http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/.../msg01354.html
I use Ubuntu 10.10 myself. For me, I place the fonts in a folder that will
hold the ones I want to add to the ones already installed by Ubuntu.
Then I highlight them and press enter/return. That will bring up a
pop-up with an "install" button. If all goes well, these fonts go into
the hidden ".fonts" folder. Do not place the fonts directly into that
folder. Let the system do that during the install. I also use packages
like "Fontmatrix" to view the font info. KDE has a nice "font installer"
install/view package as well.
*************************
When I selected five fonts and hit "Enter," five instances of "Font Viewer" opened, with the "Install" button greyed out. But selecting the fonts and right-clicking opened a menu with "Install" as the first option, and that did it! Those five fonts are now in LibreOffice Writer's dropdown menu and they work fine.
