I used to have SCIM on Ubuntu for chinese input and it worked great, but since Gnome doesn't support latest hardware better than KDE so I make a switch, but SCIM does not work out of the box on Gnome so I use the default ibus, but even I installed language support and select ibus for input method, nothing happen when I try to active it via ctrl-space, even I can see the tray icon I can't activate chinese input, and the input method always reset to none that really sucks, too bad I will have to go back to Gnome and my notebook display will goes blank again >
