Depends. KMess is getting webcam support later this year (they are working on it right now). So maybe Kopete could use KMess' code to get webcam support.
But what I find most akward in Kopete: when you go to settings, it does show your webcam and even lets you adjust it. And works fine. But you can't use it anywhere else in Kopete, in the Chat Window etc.
