Am having "The Sounds of Silence" with my new (clean) 10.4 install when running ScummVM games.
Not a peep comes out of it
I can have the same problem with other non-KDE apps tried (eg. Blobsolid - uses SDL?). eg. When I run Blobsolid I hear the speaker tic (like its being initialised) and thats it.
Have not tried other non-KDE apps yet.
The basic sound system under KDE (4.4.5) is going fine as I can hear MP3 files fine with Amarok (problem with incomplete scan of my mp3 files tho!) and Dragonplayer. These are using Phonon of course (Xine is the backend for Phonon).
Any ideas please folks.
