install your nvidia drivers as normal throughthe hardware drivers.
then you
a. install drivers from hardware drivers
b. sudo kate /etc/X11/Xsession
c. add "nvidia-settings -l" right above "set -e" without quotes. save then reboot
Reboot
go into Desktop effects and in general tab, make sure you have desktop effects on
then you go to advanced and use opengl, only for shown windows, opengle mode is texture from pixmap, then texture filter Nearest...or use the higher ones if you want.
these are important
checked enable direct rendering checked
unchecked use vsync unchecked
in terminal do a nvidia-settings. Kin xvideo, keep sync to vblank on and in opengl, keep vblank sync checked. these two are important
reboot
now you are flyiing with what looks to be 200fps. make sure wobbly windows is enabled.
