I updated everything I could restarted my computer and then did the full upgrade through the aptitude program (UI not command line). I then restarted my computer and I got some interesting errors. Linux always seems to give me errors, so I crossed my fingers and waited for kde to start up. My splash screen did in fact start up and I was going to log in until I found that my mouse and keyboard no longer work. I read many articles and forums that seemed to have the same problem and followed their advice to no avail. I've updated many times.
Nothing seems to work.
When I go into safe mode I can select the root option and then I have keyboard and command line. If you give me commands to run to give you info I should be able to get you an answer. I tried startx as root and I got into kde. Unfortunately, I still couldn't do anything because my keyboard and mouse were dead.
The errors I get at start up are:
Help. Pretty please.
Code:
apt-get update
Code:
apt-get dist-upgrade
Code:
dpkg --configure -a
