hello, sometimes, when i'm using my computer, there is a big bug, the screen freezes. I cannot move my mouse, i can do nothing. I don't find solution for this problem. Can u help me please !!!
Also, you can run "top" and put the top window in the corner of your screen where you can see it at all times. When the "freeze" happens, we want to know what is the process that is using all your resources.
Possibly it is strigi running the initial indexing on your system, if this is a new installation. Just a guess ...
Gougoul, can you report a crash report reflecting the bug found there. If no red flashing crash report shows up on your monitor, perhaps something odd can be discovered on are about the day and hour you had the crash or problem by looking at the log viewer file. xorg fatal server errors are found there. Such bugs need to be sent to ubuntu.org/X/Reporting. That site does not follow the bug reporting protocol like that you find at http://launchpad.net.
Good luck!
